Sweet potato? Avocado? Banana? Rice Cereal?
Just what was going to end up in baby’s mouth all over baby’s face for the first time ever?
After many agonizing hours of research (dude, seriously I at least Googled this) Aliza ended the suspense and swiped a banana from my fruit salad.
And while I didn’t manage to snap a picture of her first ever solid food/petty crime I did document the milestone properly the very next day.
In suspense…
But wait what’s this I see, a camera? Smile! (the little ham already knows what the shiny black object in mommy’s hand means…she’s a genius I’m sure of it)
Num Num Num..wait this tastes funny…
Oh no it’s all gone…better clean my plate…
And this concludes our documentation of Aliza’s (appropriate) milestones.
In other news, I really need to get decent photo editing software, recommendations? Photoshop elements? Lightroom?

That third photo is hilarious!
I see no photo of her feeling guilty for her petty crime. Not that you should worry…they (unfortunately?) don’t start feeling guilty for YEARS.
Well I’m Jewish which roughly translates to born with guilt.
Consider Lightroom. Start shooting in RAW mode, that allows for more adjustment to the photo if your exposure, or lighting is off.
Do you think Lightroom might be too advanced for me? Hubby mentioned shooting in RAW mode too…gah I swear I still don’t understand the basics nevermind things like RAW mode…DimpleArts Photography I am not (sadly)
RAW files are in no way compressed like JPEG files are. Therefore you have a lot more opportunity to fix your photos during post processing if you happened to make a mistake when you shot the photo originally.
Lightroom might be more up your alley than Photoshop, as Photoshop offers a lot more other features that you might not need. Lightroom allows you to have a catalog of photos as well as plenty of adjustments (I am still learning myself).
Haha…I really love the 3rd photo, too! She is so precious!! Your captions are awesome, too (as usual)!
I am afraid of photoshop. Why not try a free download. You can for any version you want. You can have it for thirty days before you decide. I tried, but didn’t have the time to really give it a go. I have a mac and just use my iphoto editing. When I need more I use picnic through flickr. But I’m tired of all the back and forth and I’ve decided to just get the iphoto upgrade called Aperture. I have no idea what I’m doing.

She is freaking adorable!
She’s adorable– love how she dove right into the tray for food. My little guy started solids a few weeks ago. He hated everything for about 1.5 weeks but we’ve now made some progress and he’s eating it up (for the most part).
She has the biggest eyes! I laughed out loud at the first one! She’s genuinely bursting with excitement for food!!
She is so adorable. My son (who i think is around the same age as your daughter) also has a similar disposition when it comes to cameras. He’ll be having a complete tantrum and as soon as the camera comes out he’ll stop the tears and break into a huge smile!
LOVE IT!! Aliza is SO cute. And who wouldn’t love bananas!! I had the same debate. In the end I went with carrots, then peas then sweet potatoes. Jean doesn’t care for any of them. Although she doesn’t spit out sweet potatoes quite as much. Tonight we start avocadoooooooo!!
Such cute pictures!
best. photo. series. ever!
I really did have to laugh out loud at this. The photo montage really does it all justice.
I’ve been perusing your blog and I have yet to come across a post I haven’t enjoyed.
I love your writing style and I’m looking forward to reading more.
Thank you so much, that is so very kind of you to say, I’m pretty excited to have found your blog as well, those little chickadees of yours are quite precious!
